Victims of 'Tinder Swindler' and Women's Groups Outraged Over His Media Appearance

A local radio station in Dubai removed a podcast featuring Simon Leviev, infamously known as the 'Tinder Swindler,' following public outrage. The move came after strong reactions from his victims and women's advocacy groups. Cecilie Fjellhøy, one of the women featured in Netflix’s documentary on Leviev’s scams, condemned the media for giving a convicted fraudster a platform. Meanwhile, Leviev defended himself, claiming the Netflix documentary misrepresented him. The controversy has raised concerns about media responsibility and the impact of giving convicted criminals airtime, especially in a city known for its commitment to women's empowerment.
