Construction of two new stadiums with more than 20,000 spectators
You will soon be able to enjoy the exciting atmosphere of live football matches in Dubai as two state-of-the-art stadiums are set to be built. Shabab Al-Ahly Stadium and Al-Wasl Stadium, which are designed to accommodate more than 20,000 spectators, promise a sporting experience in the emirate.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council has approved the architectural design of the new innovative and environmentally friendly football stadiums.
Shabab Al Ahli Stadium, located in Al Ruwieh 3, features an avant-garde design with a circular roof supported by columns inspired by the moon and outer space. Surrounded by greenery, it incorporates eco-friendly systems and smart city requirements.
Meanwhile, in Al-Jadaf, Al-Wasl Club Stadium seamlessly integrates open spaces and sports fields.
Details about the completion date of the projects have not been announced. However, a team consisting of authorities such as Dubai Sports Council, Roads and Transport Authority and Dubai Municipality will be responsible for handing over the construction work to a specialist company.
