New direct bridge to Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates opens today

A new 300-meter direct bridge connecting Sheikh Zayed Road to Mall of the Emirates' parking lots has opened today. This project, part of RTA's expansion efforts in collaboration with Majid Al Futtaim, aims to streamline traffic flow in the area. Enhancements include improving the Umm Suqeim Interchange, upgrading 2.5 km of surrounding surface roads, and creating a two-way dual road. Additional features include upgraded pedestrian and cycling lanes, bus station modifications, and improved landscaping. The RTA director has called this project a game-changer for motorists traveling from Abu Dhabi and Jebel Ali.
