From the Indian Ocean to meeting Hollywood celebrities, life on the QE2 was rarely dull for Chief Officer Simon Dazwell. And now, nearly 40 years after his retirement, he is revisiting the historic ship to mark another milestone.
Simon Dazwell on March 13, 1985, aboard the luxury ocean liner, now retired and restored as a 13-story floating hotel in Port Rashid, soon to be re-boarding for his 60th birthday. He is visiting Dubai to spend three nights on the QE2 with his wife and two daughters.
